Fairy Stone Update

The weather just does not want to cooperate this weekend for our camping trip. As a result we have rescheduled the trip for June 2-4. This was the next available weekend for the sites we had selected. If you signed up and can not make it to the new date send me an e-mail and I will be happy to get you a refund. Otherwise we will see you on the trip.

2017 Fairy Stone State Park Camping Trip

Rescheduled! June 2nd to June 4th, Pack 825 will be celebrating Earth day by taking a camping to trip Fairy Stone State Park in Stuart, VA.  Its a great campground nestled against a lake in the Virginia piedmont about 2 hours northwest of Chapel Hill. If you are interested please signup here.

2017 Blue and Gold

This year's Blue & Gold will be on Saturday, April 8th at OUMC beginning at 5:00pm.  Come join our Pack as we say good-bye to our Arrow of Light (Web II) as they receive their Arrow of Light Award and continue on to Boy Scouts.

We plan to have a potluck dinner, so please RSVP with the number attending and what you'd like to bring.  Please note that the Pack will be providing dessert.

Battle of Guilford County Courthouse

Pack 825 is planning a trip to the Battle of Guilford County Courthouse Reenactment in Greensboro.  This is a reenactment of the 1781 battle between Nathanael Greene and Lord Cornwallis (Wiki).

The trip will be on Sunday March 19th.  The reenactment begins at 2:00 pm, however, there are several historic displays set up throughout the park.  We will be meeting onsite at the Visitors Center at noon.  The parking is not close to battlefield and it is wise to be prepared to walk at least 1 mile to and from your car.  The visitors center is located at the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, 2332 New Garden Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410 (Google Map)

If you are attending the Sleeping with the Lions trip it will take approximately 1 hour to drive to the battle site.

Please bring water, lunch/snack, and wear your Class A uniform. This event is free to the public.

2017 Sleeping with the Lions

For the first time, we will be pitching our tents at the Conservators Center in Mebane. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about wildlife conservation with their hands-on programs centered around Lions, Tigers, and Wolves, but also smaller feline species such as Leopards and Ocelots, plus Fennec Foxes, Kinkajous, and Lemurs.

This is a rare opportunity to see these wild animals up close and personal!  Sign up here -- registration closes March 10th.
