Signup Now for the Virginia Creeper Trail Campout

An afternoon's bike ride through forest, over streams and bridges, abundant wildlife, and picturesque towns -- all while going downhill -- make the Virginia Creeper Trail Campout a great weekend for Scouts.  We will also spend two nights in Beartree Campgound, in the heart of the Jefferson National Forest.  There will be plenty of activities for the Scouts to earn badges / belt loops while enjoying some great time around the campfire.

Signup is available until Sunday, October 13th.  The cost is $42 per person (includes camping, food, and bike shuttle).  Bike rentals are optional.

For those of you who may be new to Scouting, check out the Links page for our Campout Packing List.  There's also some helpful information on getting your Scout's uniform ready.  If you have any questions, please contact your Den Leader or Packmaster.

In addition, we have several Homeschoolers from the area.

Throughout the year our Pack Family plans many fun adventures such as camping overnight in the Virginia Air and Space Museum, Colonial Williamsburg, pitching a tent on the Duke Football field after a Blue Devils game, practicing archery and BB guns, overnight camping and caving in the Smoky Mountains, making a float for the Chapel Hill Christmas parade, family skiing weekend, and racing Pinewood Derby cars.

Individual grade-level Dens enjoy achieving ranks and achievements through community service projects, visiting museums and local services, STEM projects (science, technology, engineering, and math), and learning various skills such as whittling, carpentry, biking, and sports.
