Animal Shelter Tour

Pack 825 Families,

Please join us on Tuesday January 21st from 6:30PM - 7:30PM for a tour of the Orange County Animal Shelter.  Animal services is located at 1601 Eubanks Road just a few miles from Orange United Methodist Church.

Sarah Fallin, the shelter's Outreach Coordinator will provide pack 825 scouts and their families with a tour of the facility and we will get to meet some of the animals available for adoption.  After the tour Ms. Fallin will spend a few minutes with us in their conference room so scouts can work towards their Pet Care Belt Loop and Academic Pin.

Orange County Animal Services provides an important service to our community and to animals in need. At this event we will be collecting pet toys, pet food or monetary donations to help feed and protect pets in Orange County.
Dear Pack 825 Families,

Please take time over the Thanksgiving Holiday to participate in a valuable giving program for the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford.

At the November pack meeting, Scouts will each be given a small red piggy bank to fill with dollars and coins. These donations will provide the children with many needed items for daily living.

Scouts can contribute their own money and ask family and friends for a small donation to this great cause.  Please bring your filled bank to the next scouting event you attend and I will collect it for delivery to the orphanage. If you did not make it to the November pack meeting please let me know and I will get a bank to your Scout.

Appalachian Ski Trip, Jan. 25-26

Appalachian Ski Trip

Back by popular demand!  We will be going to the French-Swiss Ski College near Boone, NC for a great weekend of skiing and snowboarding.  This is a great way to learn to ski or snowboard, practice new skills, or remember old ones.

As a Scout group of 15 or more, we are eligible for a discounted rate of $40pp for skiing and $45pp for snowboarding.  This includes an all-day slope ticket, rental equipment (skis, boots, poles or snowboard & boots), and a one hour group lesson (all ability levels, ages 6 & up).  Their normal rates are twice that!

We have the weekend of January 25th - 26th reserved.  We can do BOTH days (one for skiing and one for snowboarding perhaps?) as long as there are 15 people per day.  It's less than a 3 hour drive and we've stayed at a hotel close by for about $100/nt (with heated pool).

Please click here to signup and indicate your preference for Saturday, Sunday, or both days (either skiing or snowboarding, it doesn't matter at this time).  NO MONEY IS DUE NOW.

$10 - Duke vs Miami, Nov. 16th @3:30

Our Pack has been offered $10 tickets to the Duke football game this weekend. Game time is 3:30pm on Saturday, November 16th. Please email Talisha if you're interested, including how many. (talishacabral@mac.com).
