Pack 825 Campfire on October 3rd

Come meet your fellow Scouts, roast a hot dog, and pick up your Popcorn for Wagon sales!  Friday, October 3rd, we'll be meeting at 1050 MLK Avenue starting at 6pm.  Bring a lawn chair and a drink (no alcohol or coffee, please). We'll provide the hot dogs and s'mores!

Directions:  From OUMC, continue south down MLK 1/8mi and turn left into Timber Hollow Apartments.  The driveway to 1050 MLK Avenue / Airport Road is on the left.

Scout Day at the Ken's Corn Maze

October 11th, at Ken's Korny Corn Maze, show up in your Scout uniform or shirt and get a special deal for Scouts -- $12 includes entrance to the corn maze, Scout patch, hay ride, and a piece of pumpkin pie!  Details are here.

Pack 825 Meeting TOMORROW, Sept. 16th

Hope to see everyone back this year for our first Pack Meeting tomorrow, September 16th, at the OUMC.  We will meet at 7pm -- new Scouting families please arrive beforehand (6pm) to meet our Pack Leaders, fill out paperwork, etc.

Returning Scouts, please bring the following:
  • Wear your Class A uniform
  • Bring any old uniforms, hats, neckerchiefs, handbooks, etc.
  • Pinewood Derby cars for display
  • Akelas, please make a copy of the front and back of your insurance card
  • All new and returning Scouts need to complete health forms before participating in any event.  You may fill out online, at the meeting, or email to Paul McCartney.
  • You can pay your Pack Dues online or by check / credit card at the meeting.
  • It's POPCORN time! So be sure to bring your calendars so you can signup for the best spots for selling popcorn and making lots of Scout Buck$
We will be playing kickball outside beginning at 6pm.  We will also have a magic show by our very own Brian Hatrick during the Pack Meeting.  See you there!

Always a popular event, this is a great opportunity for a family new to camping, or to all Duke Football fans.

BugFest at NC Museum of Natural Sciences

This FREE event is on Saturday Sep. 20, 2014, from 9am to 7pm at the Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh.

Each year over 35,000 visitors come to BugFest to experience over 100 exhibits, crafts, games and activities.  Interact with entomologists and other scientists and  learn about the fascinating world of bugs. For Hurricane Fans - Caniac Carnival

Join the Carolina Hurricanes for the 15th annual Caniac Carnival at PNC Arena on Friday, September 26th. The event offers free admission and parking, in addition to discounted food and beverage items. 

The Caniac Carnival, which will take over the outside and inside of PNC Arena, will feature activities for fans of all ages, including a free Carolina Hurricanes Red-White scrimmage, an autograph session with Canes players, inflatable rides, interactive games and booths, a kid’s zone, sports area, live music from DJ George, appearances by Stormy and the Eye Care Associates Storm Squad and more!

Join us on Tuesday, September 16th at 6pm for Back to Scouting Night!

Pack 825 meets at the Orange United Methodist Church (OUMC) on the corner of Homestead and MLK in Chapel Hill.  Pack meetings are normally held once a month on Tuesday evenings, and (age/grade specific) Den meeting times and activities are decided upon by Den leaders and parents.  ALL Boys ages 6 to 11 (grades 1 to 5) and ALL Parents are welcome in Pack 825!  We are a Family Pack -- outings and events are open to all Scouts, parents, siblings, etc.
