Back to Scouting Night

Let's get back to Scouting!

Our first Pack meeting is next Tuesday, September 15th starting at 7pm.  If you know someone interested in Scouting, or you are looking for information about joining our Pack, please come between 6pm and 7pm to meet with Pack leaders to get signed up!

We've got a lot of great activities coming up right away including a Pack Bonfire on Friday 9/18.  Sign up here if you plan to attend.  Popcorn sales begin next weekend as well.  Also coming up next month is the popular Virginia Creeper Trail campout, so be on the lookout for more information soon.

Best pack Alive in Chapel Hill and Carrboro!

Come to our New Scout Night and learn all about Pack 825!

Join us on Tuesday, September 15th from 6pm to 8pm at the OUMC at the corner of Homestead and MLK. The Orange County Methodist Church has graciously allowed us to use their fellowship hall for our regular monthly pack meetings. We are a non-discriminatory pack and welcome ALL scouts! Earn your "Meet All Kinds of Friends" badge.

Cub Scouts are open to elementary aged boys in grades 1 through 5, or ages 6 through 12. We have Scouts from local Chapel Hill schools (Morris Grove Elementary, Carrboro Elementary, Seawell Elementary, Northside Elementary, and McDougle). We also have Scouts from local area private schools like St. Thomas More, Emerson Waldorf, Duke School, Carolina Friends, Trinity, and Durham Academy. In addition, we have several Homeschoolers from the area.

Throughout the year our Pack Family plans many fun adventures such as camping overnight on Battleships, Colonial Williamsburg, pitching a tent on the Duke Football field after a Blue Devils game, practicing archery and BB guns, overnight camping and caving in the Smoky Mountains, making a float for the Chapel Hill Christmas parade, family skiing weekend, and racing Pinewood Derby cars.

Individual grade-level Dens enjoy achieving ranks and achievements through community service projects, visiting museums and local services, STEM projects (science, technology, engineering, and math), and learning various skills such as whittling, carpentry, biking, and sports.

Come join us in a fun adventure! Learn all about Chapel Hill / Carrboro's Best Pack Alive!!
